OTR Shows, or Old-Time Radio Shows are a community service we provide for the adult care facilities in our community.
Remember Fibber McGee and Molly? Cinnamon Bear, The Shadow, My Friend Irma and all the rest? Before the days of home theater systems, these names were the familiar staples of home entertainment. Families would gather 'round the radio set and listen as their favorite actors brought stories to life with only their voices and the talents of a sound effects artist.
Now, Rising Star Productions is pleased to offer these types of old radio shows to the adult-care facilities, free of charge. In the off-theater season we will gladly come to your facility in the evening and take your residents back in time for about an hour. Music, drama, and live sound effects make the evening a relaxing night out, right there in your building. This is especially good for those residents who find it difficult to get out much anymore.
